Why and How the Leadership can Harness Inclusiveness for Innovation and Growth!

‘Leadership Influence’ is associated with the ability to inspire, motivate, and drive change. Traditional influence often relies on a top-down approach, where the leader’s vision, values, and beliefs drive the team or organization. While this approach may yield short-term results, it can also lead to:

1. Homogeneous Thinking: The dominance of a single perspective or ideology can stifle creativity, innovation, and even progress.

2. Exclusion and Disengagement: Employees who feel their voices are not heard or valued may become disengaged, leading to decreased productivity and morale.

3. Lack of Buy-in and Ownership: When team members are not involved in the decision-making process, they may resist changes or feel uncommitted to the organization’s goals.

A more nuanced and effective approach is ‘Inclusive Influence’, which recognizes that true leadership influence is about creating and supporting an environment where diverse perspectives, thoughts, and ideas can emerge, converge, and flourish.
