Breathless, Clueless, blinded,
Standing still, helpless.
Must have been one of those
dark & ominous nights,
O dear! we felt like the
Deer in the headlights.

Having faced something similar,
Why it is overpowering us?
Taking away lives and
livelihoods, beyond our sights.
Why are we acting, like the
Deer in the headlights.

We are the world, we are the Humans,
You can’t Cow us down, NO!
You push us down, you make us
rise with the fire, it ignites.
We refuse to be, the
Deer in the headlights!

With compassion & togetherness
With wisdom & resilience,
we have found the way and we‘ll
soar against the wind, like the kites.
For we are no longer, the
Deer in the Headlights!!
